Scarlett Staines was too busy changing diapers to experience the seven-year itch. But now that five year old daughter Ivy has been handed over to nanny Constanza, Scarlett has lots of free time to take stock of her life. Realizing she can no longer relate to her husband of ten years, Alistair—a man whose only passion is Ikea self-assembly furniture—she starts to fantasize about ways to relieve her ten-year itch.
While the solution—an affair with her rugged Irish colleague Connor—is obvious, she’s convinced the fact she’s married is preventing Connor from asking her out. As she tells her wild friend Tanya, she suspects he has something rarer in this day and age than syphilis: morals.
